We have many fond memories of Rudy through the years. We have known Beth and Rudy since before our children were born. We were all working for IBM Kingston at the time. My husband was in the office next door to Beth's. Rudy worked in upper management for (VP) Nick King in the graphics work station area. When Nicole and Brandon came along, Beth and Rudy were very attentive and loving to our children. It was like having another set of grandparents. We heard many Uitz family stories over the years and got to see pictures of the grandkids as they grew up. You could tell they were very proud parents and grandparents.
When we lived in Kingston, we enjoyed meeting Beth and Rudy for weekly pizza nights at Village Pizza, dinners at their house and also dining out at some of Rudy's favorite restaurants...Golden Duck and Reginato's. After we moved to Florida, we would occasionally bring Rudy back some of his favorite sausage or Krause Chocolates from Saugerties on our way back home after a visit to the Hudson Valley.
After we moved, we didn't get to see Beth and Rudy as often as we would have liked. But we would try to see them just about every year on our trips back north. We enjoyed various outings with them in DC over the years (Children's Museum, Union Station, Cabin John, watching the kayakers at Great Falls, fireworks at the National Mall (4th of July and New Year's Eve for the Millenium change). We always looked forward to Rudy's juicy hamburgers on the grill and swimming in their pool. Occasionally we would get to see some of the extended family for some of the cookouts. On the last trip that I saw Rudy, he made us an awesome Peach Pie (I believe it was his mother's recipe) and we had a great time listening to him perform some songs on his top-of-the-line organ. Hidden talents - baking and playing organ - who knew! Oh yes, and the accordion too!
We also had a great time when Beth and Rudy visited us at our timeshare in Aruba. I think Beth still has her huge cactus that she grew from a little piece she brought home. We also had a wonderful time when we traveled with them for a 2 week Hawaii trip in 1992. Unfortunately, there was another unwelcome visitor that joined us - Hurricane Iniki. That was sure an adventure! Beth and Rudy also visited us at our home in Florida many years ago and brought their grandson Tony with them. Tony was very young at the time and he loved playing with our son Brandon's Brio train collection and swimming in our pool.
Our deepest condolences to the entire family on the passing of dear Rudy. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May the beautiful memories that fill your heart help to bring you comfort.

Some of my most vivid childhood and teenage memories involve Rudy. Almost every year my family would travel up from Florida to New York, and we would always stop in Bethesda to visit Beth and Rudy. Visits to their home were always something I looked forward to, because that meant lots of fun and laughter, great times in the pool and grilling on the patio, and playing with the Fisher Price toys (no matter how old I got!). I'm very glad I got to visit Rudy last year - he introduced my dad and I to some wonderful new music and I'll always think of him when I hear those songs. I truly cherish all the memories I have with Rudy and I'm so grateful for all the joy that Rudy brought to me as I've grown up. All my love to his family, Nicole

Rudy was a force, and as such, his passing will impact the lives of many people...his wife Beth, his children and grandchildren, friends, and business coworkers. He was always kind to everyone in our family. We looked forward to his juicy cheeseburgers on the grill when we were fortunate to visit Beth and Rudy as we traveled up and down the east coast these past 21 years. Our last visit to his home last year was spent, for three hours, listening to and watching music DVDs on his large-screen TV and glorious sound system. He finished his mortal life in his happiest place - the comfy recliner with his music. Rest in peace Rudy, and thank you! Rand

I met Rudy when I became a member of the Tiber Creek Consulting family. He is a kind and gentle man. We had brief conversations as we passed in the hall from day to day and he always had a cheerful smile and pleasant voice. He was so special, so loved and I know he will be so warmly remembered.
"Life can never stay the same, no matter how we try.
Our hands can never stop the clock of life from ticking by.
But love remains unchanged in the care of sorrowful hearts,
For as the love of this life surrenders, the love of memory starts."

Kevin, Please accept my deepest condolence over the loss of your father. I lost my mother in 2011, and I know that over time, you're sorrow will be replaced by the fond memories of your time well spent with your Father. May God bless you during this time of sorrow.
