One of the first times we met Maria and John was at a Nationals pre-game Father's Day picnic at RFK. We enjoyed good food, good visiting, and a good game. On November 6, 2004, we shared a beautiful, warm fall day at L'Auberge Provencale in White Post, VA with the James and Read families for Debbie and Kevin's wedding. In 2007, we welcomed granddaughter Alexa to the family. Maria and Betsy almost did not make it back for the delivery as they got 'turned around' in Fairfax Hospital. Then in 2009, we shared in the birth of grandson Lucas. Since that time, we have shared birthday celebrations, dinners, and Easter egg hunts together. We will miss Maria and the special times together.
