I was saddened very much to recently learn of David's passing online. I extend my condolences to the entire family, I worked with Dave as Personal trainer many years back, at the home in MD. and found him to be great to work with, a dedicated person to fitness, family, and life. My heart goes out to everyone, and I will keep all in my thoughts.

Merry Christmas Dave. I wish you were still here, for Jennifer, for your kids, for all of us who loved you for making our Jenn so happy. I was so excited to get to know you better, and watch you and Jenn make your life together. I hope you are at peace Dave, and I know you're watching Jennifer and helping her to find some peace as well...

I never imagined living my life without you by my side. I miss you more and more each day but know you are in heaven looking down on all of us. I hope you are at peace and know how much you are loved. You were and are the most amazing person I have ever known - this world is far less colorful without you here brightening it up with your beautiful smile and amazing sense of humor. I love you more than anything. Please watch over me.

I was a fraternity brother of Dave Zier. Dave was always an outgoing person, easy to talk to and always worked hard at his studies and his health.
One of the funny ironies was that we had another "brother" at Pi Kappa Alpha named Dave Zier. So after a while we had to say "red Zier" and "brown Zier".
I am very, very sad we are saying goodbye to "red Zier". He was a great person and so charming/social.
He will be sorely missed. This is the most sad news I have heard this year. I still cannot believe it.

It was with deep sadness that I read David's obituary in today's paper. It was a shock to see his smiling face and learn of his passing. I have many memories of David walking into The Primary Day School with Kenna and Cameron on his way to a Beako Assembly or a parent visiting day or, the last I saw him, Cameron's graduation. I send my deepest sympathy to the Zier families and especially to Kenna and Cameron

Bless, O God of eternal life, all who have died by their own hand. Grant them peace from their inner turmoil and the compassion of your love. Comfort those who mourn their loved ones. Strengthen them to face the questions of pain, the guilt and anger, the irreparable loss. Help us to reach out in love to others who prefer death to the choices of life and to their families who grieve. Amen.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. may you take comfort in the scriptures at John 5:28,29 where Jesus says all those in the memorial tombs will be called forth at the resurrection and we may see our loved ones again. Cherish your memories and look forward to this time.
