Please share a memory of Randall to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Randall Eugene Palmer "Randy," age 58, passed peacefully on October 30, 2014 at Washington Hospital Center. He was the beloved husband of Maria Palmer, wife of 34 years. Randy was the devoted father of Christopher Palmer (Chicago, IL) and Emily Palmer (Herndon, VA), son of Bill and Joan Palmer (Fredericksburg, VA), brother of Kerri Gonen (Leesburg, VA), Karen Lenar (Fredericksburg, VA), and Rhonda Springer (Martinsburg, WV). Randy was born on January 9th, 1956 in Kansas City, MO and has lived in Herndon, VA for the last 26 years. He graduated from W.T. Woodson High School in Fairfax, VA in 1974 and went on to receive a business degree from West Virginia University in 1978. Randy enjoyed a 36 year career with the Department of Army, with the past 26 years spent in the Pentagon. Randy was an active member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church and enjoyed spending his free time cheering on the WVU Mountaineers, the Redskins, and the Washington Nationals. He was even known to give some free coaching advice through the TV from time to time. Along with his love of sports, Randy often brought levity to any situation with a corny joke or bad pun. Services will be held at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Sterling, VA on November 9th at 2pm. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew's Episcopal Church (201 E. Frederick Dr. Sterling, VA 20164) or The Arthritis Foundation. http://bit.ly/1x0T0Sr
