I will always remember our younger days on Cherry St. Playing ball, and just being sister and brother. I remember how I protected you when two guys were harassing you. I wanted to beat them up, NO one was going to hurt my baby sister!!!
It makes me so happy that you are up in heaven, all happy and healthy, reuniting with our Mom & Dad. I am going to miss you so
I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH
Your big brother

It was several years ago now when I first met Madge through my Media Center Clerk, Maxine Byrnes. It was not long before I realized that the two of them came as a package deal. Madge volunteered countless hours in our Media Center shelving books and assisting with the school book fairs. She quickly became a part of our Endeavor Family and she will truly be missed!

These last couple of days I have thought long and hard about what you meant to me. I thought what brings two different people together. What binds them together to make their relationship worthwhile and true. I believe what brought us together was our undying devotion to bicker and play jokes on one another. We got so much joy from this that we would smile from ear to ear. What you meant to me was everything. You were the loving mother-in-law that really cared about me. My heart is broken. My friend is gone. I am lost for now but I know we will meet again.
With love,
Your son-in-law Mike

My grandma, Magdalena Sardo is now another angel in heaven. When she was living I already considered her an angel. She had a good heart, a great mind and a warming smile. She helped me a lot as an individual. When I had friend problems at school she would tell me to keep moving forward and to find other friends. She was there when I got on my first roller coaster and she would sit with me if I was scared and didn't want to go on a roller coaster. She would help me with my homework and school projects and she would read my summer reading books with me. She was a great help with taking care of the dogs over Christmas and summer. She would grow to love all the dogs as they loved her even though she wouldn't admit it. She came up with very funny names for the dogs … like "devil dog". She would go on the computer and search up food recipes, but every time we asked her if she wanted a computer she would say "no, I don't even know how to work it" even though she would be right there playing on it. Over Christmas and summer breaks I would constantly ask her to play the wii with me. Our favorite games were bowling and mini golf. We would practice and practice mini golf so when we played against my dad we would hope to beat him. Grandma had an addiction to playing Tetris and word games on my ipod and other phones. She would always try to beat her high score and would be so happy when she did. Christmas shopping with grandma would be the best because we would buy stuff for ourselves instead of the other people we should be buying for and I'm going to miss doing that with her this Christmas. I'm going to miss her calling me on my birthday at 6:30 in the morning. I'm going to miss visiting her in Florida and going to Disney with her. I am so glad she is my grandma. I'm so glad to have my middle name as her first name. She shared her name with me and I wouldn't want that any other way. The next time there is a gorgeous sunny day I will think of my grandma who loved the sun. I believe God does everything for a reason. There was a reason she became my grandma. There was a reason she shared her name with me. There was a reason she came to this earth.
Heaven has just gotten an amazing, kind, sweet, loving angel who I am proud to have as my grandma. Thank you for always being there for me. Thanks you for always helping me out. Thank you for all you taught me.
Thank you for loving me.
You will be in my heart and memories forever.
I LOVE YOU GRANDMA!
Grace

My first experience with Madge was as a brand-new, first-year teacher in 2004. I remember Madge helping me get moved in to my classroom and bringing me anything I needed for the room. She helped by showing me the ropes around Killarney and making me feel comfortable. Another fond memory I have of her is at her retirement celebration in our Art classroom. Our art teacher, Ms. Howard, made a throne for her since she was our Queen Custodian! She even had a plunger for a scepter, and she held that thing proudly! It was so wonderful seeing her be recognized for all the hard work she always did. We really missed her after her retirement. She was a kind-hearted, hard-working lady!

Mom:
We will always remember your kindness, your gratitude, your generosity, your selflessness, your humor, your compassion, your wit, your nurturing, your integrity, your perseverance, your smile your forgiveness and your laugh.
Your taught us how to support others when they were in need. You taught us how to say thank you even for the smallest of favors. You taught us to give of ourselves even when it was difficult to do so. You taught us how to now worry about our own needs first but to take care of the needs of others. You taught us to laugh even when we wanted to cry. You taught us how to care for people who are hurting. You taught how to deliver a one liner, at the most opportune time ("too bad so sad"). You taught us how to care for and raise children. You taught us the important lesson of what is right and what is wrong. You taught us how to rise from adversity and not to be bitter. You taught us to smile even when we wanted to cry. You taught us how to forgive when we were not at our best. You taught us to enjoy life, ride roller coasters, eat well and share funny stories and to be happy.
Your vocation in life was to be the best Mother and Grandmother a women could be. While you accomplished so many things in life, you can rest now as you have finished the work that God sent you to do. You have been a wonderful Mother and Grandmother and we will carry all these virtues with us to continue to teach to our Children and Grandchildren. We Miss you and Love you!
