Eddie David Jackson (age 77) of Herndon, VA, passed away at Fair Oaks Hospital on December 20, 2014. He is survived by his wife of over 45 years, Jinny (Edith Stevens) Jackson. He moved from Alabama to Washington, DC in his early teens, continuing to live in the metropolitan area as he worked for the Federal Government in the computer field After retirement in 1993, he owned Antiques Unusual for several years in Leesburg and Purcellville, VA where he enjoyed interacting with the public. In his later years, he focused on writing short stories about life experiences Always upbeat and positive, Eddie liked people and enjoyed making them laugh. As an outdoorsman and big sports fan, Alabama football always was dear to his heart. He was the only child of Virginia and Boyd Jackson of Cordova, Alabama, who predeceased him. He is survived by beloved cousins, brothers and sisters- in-law, nephews, a niece, a step-brother, and many very close and beloved friends. All services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to The National Kidney Foundation, The Alzheimers Association or any organization designed for the support and care of battered women and children.
