Just the other day I was listening to some Stevie Ray Vaughn and it reminded me of the time that Bill and I went to go see him with and friend of ours who knew him. After one of the sets, we went back stage and hung out with Stevie and the band. We had a great night and each time I hear a Stevie Ray Vaughn song it takes me back to that night. We had quite a few nights like that. Be Boppin' Bill Bailey and the Lying Hawaiian!

My deepest sympathies to all the families connected to Bill especially Laura and Ian. We had so much history together in our youth. Heaven has a new story teller and a great chef for dinners. We could never meet here, but we will soon. God will look over your family.

To the Bailey Family: I wanted to send my deepest and sincere condolences during this unfortunate time in your lives. I would like to share a scripture to bring your family much needed comfort found at John 5:28,29 which in part reads:" Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out,". Your family will be in my prayers, my sincere condolences.

We have known Bill since we first met at the wedding of our good friends, Emily and Jack. Although our chances to cross paths were rare, we grew to know Bill through his creative approach to life. The Greens' home would regularly feature gifts from Bill and Laura, and we marveled at Bill's clever creations and works of art.
We heard often about trips the families took together around the world, and came to understand that often a special shirt was designed by Bill for the occasions. Then we felt particularly fortunate to benefit from his inventiveness first-hand when Bill created a shirt design for Jack's 50th birthday which we proudly wore during an extended scavenger hunt in France. (will try to post a photo in the photo area of this website)
A few years ago, we vacationed in Mt Gretna, Pennsylvania and joined in Bill's enjoyment of a place where he could jog, cook, and relax. We appreciated the way that he made sure that Ian had a good time during the visit. Bill was a caring and devoted father and husband and he will be sorely missed.

Bill was one of a kind, that is for sure. He always made me laugh and inspired me to cook great food. I loved that he lived life his way, not caring what others thought. I will remember him dearly. Laura and Ian, you are in my thoughts and I hope with time your hearts can heal. Love you all. Crystal, Josh and Elliott

Bruce and I are so sorry for your loss. We have many fond memories of Bill from a distance over the years, and were glad for the chance to spend a bit of time together during a vacation in Mt. Gretna a few years ago. - Erin and Bruce

I was Bill, Laura and Ian's neighbor for 16 years.I will say proudly that he was my friend. He was funny(most of the time). He was always friendly. He was a pretty fair carpenter. The guy could cook.As a neighbor , we share many good times. I was truly sad when they moved last year.Neighbors can be a dime a dozen. Great neighbors like Bill and his family stay with you, your whole life. I am so sorry that Bill's time was cut short. My prayers go out to Laura and Ian. Les Halpern
