Obituary of Claude Moran

Claude (Tony) Clinton Moran, Jr., 79, died on April 7, 2015 at Reston Hospital Center after a lengthy illness. Claude was born on October 27, 1935, in Sterling, Virginia. He worked at Chestnut Farms Dairy, in Washington, DC and later at Washington Dulles International Airport as a heavy equipment operator when it opened until his retirement.
He leaves behind his two daughters, Donna Moran and Wanda Moran Byington (Bill), and his three grandchildren: Ashlee Moran, Todd Byington (Rachel), and Brooke Byington. Claude was preceded in death by his parents, Claude C. Moran, Sr. and Lola B. Cornett Moran Affleck; his brother, John Moran; his sister, Betty Jean Dodson; and his sister, Gladys Smith. He is survived by his sister, Virginia Kessel of Ocala, FL, and brother, Donald Moran of Sterling, VA and many nieces and nephews.
Claude had many hobbies. He loved hunting raccoons with his dogs; camping, fishing and boating; horse racing, and especially baseball.
Visitation services will be held at 6:00-8:00PM on Thursday, April 9, and funeral services at 1:00PM on Friday, April 10 at Adams-Green Funeral Home, Herndon, VA. Burial will be held at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Herndon, VA following the funeral.
