May God lift Nilo up with His Loving Embrace and Mercy, and Grant him a Palace in Heaven for all the good works he did in this life. May He bring Peace and Mercy to his wife Myrian, his family and all of us. Amen Nilo was a great man. Need I say more? Well for those who know me know I must say more… Nilo hired me in 1996 to 1997 thru referral from Ray Villaflores. And then again after my return from Saudi in 1999 to 2001. So I worked for Nilo for 4 years at his company NVE. These were the best years of my work career. I loved Nilo immediately upon meeting him in 1996. His soft and easy going nature made it very easy for all of us to become the best workers we could be. He was there to answer our technical questions in clear terms. He was fair with all his employees. He gave us enough free reign to govern our work as “hovering” and “controlling” were not in his nature. He Trusted all of us to perform our work function. Nilo took care of his employees in ways far above and beyond a typical boss. He cared for each of us like we were his family. It was a PLEASURE to go to work each day. I did have my issues, but that was with my fellow Americans working there... In the end, things were patched up. Nilo and Myrian did all they could to help mend those “fences” which fell down at work, mainly due to me, as Nilo did not want his family upset. When Nilo and Myrian came to my home to talk about these personality issues I was having at work, I felt like they were both my parents. I will never forget their kindness and love towards me as they sat side by side on a bamboo couch made in Malaysia. Just the irony of it all. Nilo and his family are Malays as is my wife and kids. We are all family when we go back to Adam. Nilo understood this, as does Felipe and Myrian. So Nilo, I send my prayers and thanks to you. You were the best boss I had in my career, and I had many good bosses. God Willing, we will all be together again soon !!! Note: For those who believe, "soon" does not upset them... Side note: Ray and I had worked together on the FAA Facilities Mod project with Parsons, and now I got a chance to return to FAA work thru NVE. A win-win for me as I always loved FAA work. And I had worked for Felipe before thru my boss Wayland Corgill while at Parsons. After leaving NVE in 1999, I supported FAA on the TSSC contract in ATL until 2006. Yes, it is a small world. Would I like to return to FAA work and work again with Neil, Myrian, Teresa, Margie, Gabby, Zandee, Art, Bob, Scott, with support from Kevin and Arlene, and many others? In a heart beat. I love them all. I am tearing up now…

Myrian and family, my sincerest condolences in Nilo's passing. What has impressed me most since I met Nilo in the early days of PAMWE is his professionalism and confident demeanor, not only in his engineering practice but also in his social and civic participation. He will be sorely missed by his associates, colleagues, and his circle of friends.
