Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Holt

Please share a memory of Elizabeth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Elizabeth Ann Holt (84) passed away peacefully in her sleep June 17, 2015. Her earliest years were spent in a nation recovering from the great depression. She attended high school in New Philadelphia, OH, and dreamed of living in Washington, DC. She moved there as a young woman, met her first husband, and raised her two girls. Then she launched a successful career as a bookkeeper in a large insurance company. Retiring early gave her the chance to travel, crochet hats for children with cancer, and many more activities with her family. Ann was an active member of her community, and she was voted Best Neighbor in Herndon, VA. She is predeceased by two brothers who served in the Navy during WW II, her sister, and her second husband, Walter Holt, who served in the Air Force during Korea. Her large and extended family includes one brother, Jim Wills, one sister in law, Virginia Rogers, her two daughters Karen King and husband Tom King, Renée LeBoeuf and husband Hervé LeBoeuf; grandchildren Brittany King, Patrick King, and Brian King, many nieces and nephews, and 4 bonus grandchildren through marriage. The family will host a viewing on Saturday, June 20 from 10am-12pm with services immediately following at Adams-Green funeral home in Herndon, VA. Interment private. Donations can be made to the American Heart and Stroke Association.
