Obituary of Marguerite Leary Selton

PEGGY LEARY SELTON Marguerite (Peggy) Leary Selton, 49, died at her home in Great Falls Va. on June 27, 2015 after a 5 year battle with cancer. At the time of her passing, her husband Philip and her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. W. Stephen Leary were at her side. She is survived by her husband, Philip and her four children Michael, 17, David 15, and James and Clare both 13, all of Great Falls VA; her mother and father Mr. and Mrs. W. Stephen Leary of Vero Beach Florida; her two sisters Catherine Leary Graziano of Mendham NJ, and Mary Leary McNiff, of Chatham NJ, and ten nieces and nephews. Mrs. Selton graduated from Madison High School in NJ in 1983 where she was President of the Student Council and won varsity letters in track and field hockey. While a student at Boston College, she studied at the Sorbonne in Paris France, the University of Paris and graduated from Boston College magna cum laude in 1987. She earned a law degree from Seton Hall Law School in 1990, and served as a law secretary for the Honorable John Boyle, NJ Superior Court, before joining Leary, Bride Tinker and Moran of Cedar Knolls, NJ. She was admitted to practice law in NJ, Maryland and Virginia. Ms. Selton, was employed by Rees Broome PC Tysons Corner, Va. at the time of her death. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be offered at 11am Wednesday July 1, 2015 at St Catherine of Siena Catholic Church 1020 Springvale Rd Great Falls, VA. Interment will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Herndon, VA.
