Owens, John Shelton, Age 80 On Monday, August 31, 2015 at his home in Herndon, VA. Beloved husband of Blanette Owens. Devoted Father of Tanya Shifflett, John Glen Owens, Paul Owens, and Catherine Jenkins. He was predeceased by one son James Owens. Son of the late Taylor and Catherine Owens. Brother of Paul Owens, Mary Robey, and Era Reid. John was predeceased by two brothers, Taylor and Lawrence Owens and one sister Dorothy Cousins. He is survived by 8 Grandchildren, Sonya and Denise Shifflett, Tyler, Justin, and Alex Owens, Kylie, Bryan, and Vincent Jenkins and also one great grandchild, Cooper Grant Owens. Graveside services will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Herndon, VA at 1:30 PM.
