Obituary of Kim Elise McKenzie

Kim E. McKenzie, 55, of Ashburn, VA, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015. Born on December 18, 1959 in Neptune, New Jersey she was the daughter of the late Ralph Angelillo and the late Maria Sibilia. Kim graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor's degree in Education and earned her Master's Degree in Education from Texas A&M-Commerce. She was a Business Education and Technology teacher at Rockwall High School for over 10 years. During her tenure at Rockwall, she sponsored numerous student clubs and organizations. Most recently she worked as a teacher in Loudoun county at St. Joseph Catholic school, St. Theresa Catholic school and Loudoun County School District. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Ashburn and enjoyed an active lifestyle. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Vince McKenzie; son, Jimmy McKenzie and his fiancée, Kelsey Pickering of Houston, TX; daughter, Kailey McKenzie of Boston, MA; sister, Mary Louise (Marlu) Picardi; and her brother, Marc Angelillo. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 14, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Herndon, VA to celebrate her love of life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Kim McKenzie to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
