Obituary of Margaretha Aplonia Robertson

Margaretha Aplonia Melaerts Robertson, 92, died September 17, 2015, of congestive heart failure in Herndon, VA. She was born on May 20, 1923 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, to Francois and Margaretha Geziena Maarleveld Melaerts. Margaretha immigrated to the US with her son in 1950 and resided in Salt Lake City until 2008. She married William Harry Robertson on July 2, 1953 and later became a naturalized US citizen in 1957. She was preceded in death by her parents; a older sister, Mathilda Margaretha Melaerts Van Den Noordt; and her husband, William Robertson. She is survived by her younger brother Francois Melaerts; one son Paul William Douglas (Cynthia); one daughter Grace Fanita Robertson; 2 grandsons and 2 great-grandchildren.
