Marc Edward Mangum departed this life on October 4, 2015 with his wife, children and family by his side in Washington DC. Marc was born in Provo, UT on February 16, 1970 and grew up in Sandy, UT and Norwell, MA. He attended UMass Boston and graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. He met and began dating his wife Jennifer at the age of 17 in Massachusetts. The two were engaged to be married shortly before Marc left to serve a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Santiago, Chile. Marc and Jennifer were married in the LDS Temple in Kensington, MD on June 21, 1991. After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Economics from BYU, Marc went on to earn a Juris Doctorate at Cornell Law School in Ithaca, NY in 1997. In both his work with Cold Spark Films and his other professional duties Marc was a regular attendee at film festivals all over the world including Sundance Film Festival, Toronto Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival. Marc was known to his four children as a father who both worked and played hard. The family enjoyed regular vacations to the Outer Banks of North Carolina as well as trips to see the Washington Nationals where Marc was a season ticket holder.
