I have fond memories of Kathy when we lived in Paris in the early 80's. She was a good friend to me when we were both "strangers in a strange land." I just saw her in May when she came to hear a talk I gave at the Fairfax OLLI campus.
My condolences to "the boys" and your families, also from Brian.

Kathy served as a coordinator at OLLI. She was always supportive and friendly. Whenever we needed a question answered she would be right there with an answer. When she didn't have the answer she would find out for us. Many times she would call us at home and provide the answer. We will always remember her as a sweet and loving person who was always willing to lend a hand or a word of support .

Our sincerest condolences to Rob/Grace, Jeff/Kim, and Jeff/Susan on the passing of your Mom. Our sympathies and respect to David and Bob and the extended family as well. Kathy was such a special person and we are so grateful to have known her. Her smile was so contagious, her enthusiasm unbounded. We would often see her in town, sometimes at Villagefest or at the store, and she was never shy about telling us about her grandsons or daughters-in-law. She was always such a great Mom when we inquired about John and his post-Marine efforts. She was so proud of all her boys. She reminded us of our love for playing back-yard football together or frequenting the woods in fort-building pursuit. She also was a true friend to my Mom through times of adversity and was so kind (along with Kim) on hosting my father's visits and discussions of seafood and the Marine Corps. We will miss Kathy but we know she is smiling down on the reality that the entire family came together on this Thanksgiving time of year on her behalf. God bless you Kathy. --Phil, Patti & girls

You are so blessed to have Kathy as your Mom. She was patient, thoughtful, smart, and tremendously gracious. It was a pleasure to work with her on the Fellowship committee at Trinity. She was always ready to do whatever was needed and to do it with a smile. We became very close and our conversations were always filled with good advice and lots of laughter. I will miss her smile and positive attitude and her unfailing faith. May your memories of times together bring you peace and joy. Please know that she lives on in the memories of her friends and church family.
