Stephanie Jean Andryszak (Nocella)
In the early morning of December 18th, 2015, Stephanie peacefully passed away at home while under hospice care and surrounded by family from the recent onset of breast cancer. She was 58 years young.
Stephanie was born the oldest of three children in Brooklyn, New York on April 10th, 1957 to Adele (Cima) Nocella & Nicholas Nocella Jr.
Raised in Brooklyn, Bensonhurst, until 1972 where she attended St. Finbar Catholic School and Thomas Dewey High School. Moving to Herndon, Virginia in 1972 with her family, she graduated high school from Herndon High School in 1975. After working and attending college simultaneously ultimately receiving a BA Accounting Degree, Stephanie went on to work with the federal government, communications companies and government contractors. Stephanie loved her job. She married in 1986 until her death. Her passions were her children, travelling, gardening, photography with scrap booking, the Washington Redskins, and last but not least, the University of Maryland Basketball program. She knew it all.
Stephanie adopted 3 loving children. Supported her local community in various ways. She volunteered helping with the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, neighborhood swim team, and local High School hosting several exchange students from Asia & Europe during her children's high school years.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her mother, Adele (Cima) Nocella, grandmothers Flavia Cima and Mary (DeCicco) Nocella, grandfathers Attilio Cima and Nicholas Nocella Sr., son Joshua Andryszak and sister-in-law Brenda (Andryszak) Lee.
Stephanie is survived by her husband of 29 years Mark Andryszak, daughter Dana Adele Jun Andryszak, son Steven Sung Andryszak, father Nicholas Nocella Jr., sister Diane (Nocella) Shaw, brother Andrew Paul Nocella, sister-in-law Peggy Sue Andryszak, and brother-in-laws Edward Shaw, Jeffrey Andryszak, and Scott Andryszak, nieces Christina Shaw and Jessica Lee, nephews Christopher Shaw, Brody Nocella and Justin Lee. And dear, loving friends and coworkers who supported her especially at this time.
Funeral services celebrating her life are Tuesday December 22nd, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Adams-Green Funeral Home Herndon, Virginia. Catholic Mass Wednesday December 23rd, 2015 10:00 am at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Sterling, Virginia with Father Donald Howard officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Stephanie requests donations to be made to Steven's and Dana's college fund.
