Obituary
Obituary of John Arthur Warnock
Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John Warnock peacefully passed early Saturday, December 19th at the age of 62, due to complications relating to Lung Cancer.
He was born in Arlington, Va and grew up loving and learning about the outdoors. There was not a pet he didn't have, or an instrument he couldn't play, although dogs and banjos are his most loved with close runners up of reptiles and guitars. John was also an avid Bass fisherman, most likely caught early on the weekends on the edge of a pond. After finishing his morning of fishing, he could be seen riding in the Ford truck with Bluegrass playing at high volume. He was a proud member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 99, and retired Licensed Operating Engineer.
John spent his last 17 years in Herndon, Va, where he raised his son, John and loved his wife, Sue. Never turning down a moment to spend time with his family and keeping his title as a world class family man. In addition to his wife and son, he will be missed dearly by his 2 brothers, 3 sisters, step-daughter, Erin, step-sons, Jessie and Josh, ex-wife, Linda, and countless friends and family. He joins his brother, Steve, mother, Neva, and father Archibald in death.
We all will never stop loving or missing you, Dad.
As John loved the outdoors so greatly, we will be spreading a portion of his ashes in a handful of his favorite places once the weather turns back to enjoyable. There is no set plan as of now, but please contact immediate family for more details.
