Obituary of John Carroll Libert

Libert, John C. (Age 81) On Saturday, January 9, 2016, peacefully at his home in Great Falls, VA with his family at his side. Beloved husband of Joyce Wilson Libert. Devoted father of Debbie Libert and Christopher John Libert. Brother of Mary Simonette and Andre Libert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. John was a graduate of Blessed Sacrament '49, St. John's College High School '53, and Catholic University '63. He was a talented Architect, an avid stamp collector, and model train enthusiast. He was a member of the Catholic University Athletic Hall of Fame in Track and Field. But he may be best known for his devotion to his track athletes at various colleges and high schools through the age of 80. "Coach" Libert was a dream come true and will be sadly missed to all who knew him. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1020 Springvale Road, Great Falls, VA on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 10:30 AM. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in John's name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, National Processing Center, P.O.
