My deepest condolence to the family & friends. You’re absolutely correct when you say, “Alex was a dear friend that will be missed.” Unfortunately, I didn’t a chance to know Alex personally but from reading your notice and other sentiments, although he had struggles (as we ALL do) he was a genuine young man with a zest for life- surrounded by loving & supportive family & friends. I know as with many of us that losing a loved one is not easy and the pain is tremendous even with the passage of time. God assures us that Alex is precious in his eyes with the promise of future blessings of a resurrection that we will be with our loved ones again (Isaiah 26:19). I pray that you find comfort & strength in God’s promises for our loved ones who have fallen asleep. Rev. 21:4, “…the tent of God is with mankind…he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more…” Keep Alex’s memories close to your hearts. Love Sheila

Dear Bob (Duece), Jackie, Valerie, Nick and Anna, I am so very sad to learn of Alex's passing. Despite my sadness, I could not help but smile when I read Alex's obituary about his many experiences in a life, much too short but very well-lived. You are all in my heart and my thoughts during this difficult time. Cousin Rich

Dear Karasek family,
Alex is like a son to us. He and our son Paul were inseparable from summer of 2004 until we moved from the Lynnhaven neighborhood. We use to jokingly call him Alex Karasek-Camacho.
It's not easy to hear news of how he passed. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to your family. May our son & brother, Alex rest easy. We're sure heaven is alot brighter because they now have Alex to light it up and look over us all. :)
He will forever be in our Camacho family hearts!

So, I just want to tell you about the first time I met Alex. It was back in the summer of 3rd grade going into our 4th grade year. My brother, Adam, brought me over to your house and we played xbox games for about 2 hours before I left. Alex and I talked about that day we met, when we were sophomores...and as it turns out, we both came to the same conclusion. We both thought "I don't really like that guy!" But for some reason, after that day, we became inseparable until I moved away from that neighborhood.
To this day, I love him like a brother and your family is my second family. It breaks my heart hearing how he went and I can't even imagine how you all must feel.
I can't say good bye, so I'll just say "sleep easy my brother, rest in peace til we meet again. I love you, Alex!"
You are always in my heart and prayers,
Paul Camacho

My dear Alex, I miss you so very much - your sweet smile, your humor, and your kind, gentle spirit. Even though you are no longer here with us, it warms my heart to know that you are safe and happy in the loving arms of your grandpa and grandma. Please watch over us, dear Alex, especially your Dad, Mom, brother, and sisters. Til we meet again my beautiful nephew. Aunt Jackie

Alex was a student in my 8th grade science class. He could always bring a smile to his classmates' faces, and mine as well. He was a bit of a practical joker, but my favorite memory is the time I could turn the tables! Alex didn't like to use his locker... he carried his notebooks and books around, often leaving them on the floor of the hallway or in classes. Of course, other students tripped over them, or kicked them as they walked, so I was constantly trying to cajole him to use his locker. One day, his books were scattered along the hallway, so I picked them up and put them behind my lab table -- within sight, but not where he expected them. A little while later, I found Alex looking up and down the hall; I asked him what he was looking for. "Nothing," was his reply. "Okay," I said, smiling. Of course, he kept looking... and I kept smiling. I kept asking if everything was okay (with a smile, hoping he would "get it" and just tell me!). Poor Alex just kept looking. It lasted the entire block, when I finally gave in and pointed out the books. Fortunately, he laughed. I am sure his spirit will be there whenever his family and friends have the opportunity to laugh. He wouldn't miss it for the world.

I had the pleasure of meeting Alex and his parents a few years ago. I was quickly impressed by his charm and gentle spirit. I am saddened for the loss for his family and friends. I am hopeful that the family's grief will be softened by the loving memories of his life. God Bless.

Our family was so sad to hear this news. Alex spent time at our house and sometimes not under the best circumstances, but even then I couldn't resist that big radiant smile of his. I know how hard he struggled with his addiction and having experienced first hand what a parent and family goes through with drug addiction my heart goes out to his family during this very difficult time. Thoughts and prayers to all of you and to Alex we pray that you are finally at peace.

I was Alex's Spanish teacher back at RBMS and then I moved up to PFHS his senior year. He always made me laugh even on the toughest day! I ran into him at Starbucks and places he worked over the last few years - he was always happy to see me and we would chat and laugh. I was so sad to hear about his passing and I send prayers and my deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
