Herndon, Josephine "Jo" Ramos Czoski, age 70, died peacefully September 15, 2016 at home, comforted by her daughter and caregivers after a long battle with a rare blood disorder. Jo was born on March 18, 1946 in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico to Adolfo Ramos-Calleja and Zenaida Lopez-Davila. Jo was a vibrant loving Navy wife and a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her only child, Debra Cleaves, 2 granddaughters, Josie and Taylor, father, Manuel Caban, brother, Carlos Ramos, aunts, Beda Lopez-DeLaPaz and Vilma Lopez-Martinez and cousins, Alba Hernandez, Beda Koorey, Rosemarie Hernandez, Betty Toro, Dali Smith and Wilfred De La Paz. She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Senior Chief John P. Czoski, Jr., mother, Zenaida Lopez-Caban and twin brother, Jose Ramos. Jo was an administrator for Alcohol and Drug Services and retired after 20 years with Fairfax County Government. She was passionate about animals and was a true "movie buff". During her spare time, if she wasn't with her family, you could find her enjoying her movie collections. Cremation provided by Adams-Green Funeral Home with Memorial Services to be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Society of Hematology are appreciated.
