Obituary of Daniel Frederick Gray

Daniel F. Gray, of Arlington, VA passed away on September 22, 2016. Loving husband of John F. Gates; devoted son to Frederick D. Gray of Reston, VA and the late Ipu Eseta Suiaunoa Gray; cherished brother of Lita Brown (Philip) of Sterling VA; brother-in-law Brian Gates (Joy Hayes) of Goldthwaite, TX; and treasured uncle of Benjamin and Robert Brown, Merry and Ronan Hayes-Gates. Daniel leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 15 at 11 a.m.. Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington, 4444 Arlington Boulevard, Arlington, VA 22204. The family will receive guests at a reception immediately following the service. Contributions may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. They have a charity walk called "Out of the Darkness Walk to Prevent Suicide" (Select the Donations tab on the left side of this page) Dan supported the Cure Alzheimer's Fund in honor of his mother (Select Donations tab on the left side of this page). Dan's team is called "O le Au-Tau mo Clan Daniel Gray" which means "We are the warrior team Clan Daniel Gray" to reflect both his Samoan and Scottish heritage.
