Daddy, I watched the Cubbies win the world series against the Cleveland Indians...how ironic Daddy....you would have loved it...it was a nail biter. I hope you saw the games in heaven with all your friends and your brothers and sister! Miss you so much Daddy, I still grieve for you.

Dear Vicki and Family:
Just wanted to let you all know how much my heart hurts for your loss. I will never forget the first time I met your Mom (Mama Rose) and Dad (The Colonel) when we traveled to DeRitter, LA back in the 70's. How welcoming and fun your folks were. Remember Mai-Tai's and riding the lawn mower...the Colonel was such a hoot! They treated me like their own and I will always treasure those memories! He was a very special person. I did not know LTC James personally, but I have had the honor and privilege of knowing and working with his daughter, Victoria for many years. Vicki is the kindest person I have ever known. They say "the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree", so I am sure that LTC James must have been a wonderful, caring person. My thoughts to your family.

My father and LTC James served together in the Army. I first met him when I was in high school with Vicki. LTC James was always very outgoing and treated me well. I know he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Rest in peace.
