My name is Emory Davis, Jr. I knew Cathy as a dear friend and classmate at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR). I am heartbroken to hear of her passing. I've searched for her over the years. She came to mind tonight. I found my friend. Belated condolences to all of her family. Being in a military family, we all live in different place around the globe. I thank God for the cherished memories with Cathy and our other friends during our Jr High day at WSMR.

As our 1972 class was preparing for our 50th class reunion, I found her obituary from 2017. Although Cathy did not graduate with us at New Athens High School, in Illinois, Cathy had been a classmate of ours. We have been trying to locate those who's lives had crossed ours during our education and that had left a profound impact along the way. Cathy was one such person. She was happy, loved to laugh, always smiling, and a beautiful person inside and out. As we celebrate our 50 year class reunion, we shall remember Cathy Crews and be thankful for our short time we shared with her. May her family know others are praying and thinking of her entire family.

I worked with Cathy at TRW in the early 1980s. Like others have said, she was a very bright and gentle spirit. She was great to work with! I see now we are the same age. I'm not sure why after 38 years I decided to google her name and though I'm sad to see she has left us, I'm glad I found her. Great pictures. I especially like the one with her children.

I am very saddened to find this.....tears rolling down my face as I type this. I worked for Cathy and Rick as their children's nanny for several years in the late 80's. Cathy was so loving and gentle with the sweetest voice. She was a great cook also. So many fond memories....love u Cathy!!! Heaven has a great angel looking down at us all.

It is with shock that I stumbled into this condolence page. I worked with Cathy as an electrical engineer in defense from 1984-1989 or so. She was a brilliant woman, kind spirit and mentor to me. I missed her so much when she left for (I believe) Orbital Sciences. It was with pleasure that I met her again in DC decades later at a dinner. She has left this world too soon. She was very special.

I met Cathy during freshman orientation at Rice. She was one of a very few young women with whom I felt sufficiently comfortable initiating a conversation without actually already knowing her. We never spent any time together over the next five years, other than a few classes. I think that was purely my fault. I am deeply saddened to learn that she is gone, but so grateful to know she is in Heaven.

I met Cathy many years ago. I was a classmate of Rick Bauer. I was just out of the Army & "inflicted" myself on them, sleeping on their couch in Los Angeles for about a week in 1977 I think. Cathy struck me as being slightly exasperated but she was a kind soul, as well as an engineer working on satellite systems with a secret clearance !, soft spoken & patient, but radiating an amazing intellect. I lost touch with Rick & Cathy; I guess they parted ways. She reminds me of my wife of 37 years whom I respect & admire: competent, trustworthy & kind. I don't know if there's an afterlife, a heaven, but Cathy certainly deserves to be there. I don't know, but I imagine, like my wife, she was a great mom.

Cathy was a fellow student at Rice, a colleague at TRW, and a dear friend. One of the most genuinely nice people I’ve ever met.
Heartfelt condolences to family and loved ones.

I'll miss Cathy. She was a good friend and a co-worker for over 20 years. I got a chance to visit her at the hospital several weeks ago and although visibly tired, she was very lucid and engaging. We had talked about each of our families and how our children had grown. I had hopes that she'd make a recovery.

To Cathy's Family,
Please accept my condolences for your loss. Although I only had intermittent opportunities to work side by side with Cathy over the past 6 years, I always learned something from her, always enjoyed working with her, and was always impressed by her depth of knowledge across various topics. Her rare combination of cheerfulness, determination, and competence always made our team much stronger. I am saddened by her loss, and I will miss her.

Cathy was not only my piano student for more than ten years, but also a cherished friend and sister in Christ. We shared many hours together at the piano and just visiting over a cup of tea or lunch or giving loving attention to her cats. Those in The Moore Studio, present and past, are saddened by her passing. We will miss her greatly, but treasure our memories of her.

Cathy did have a very sweet laugh! She had a sweet and gentle nature, always willing to share her talents and blessings. We're saddened by her passing, but also celebrating because we know that she was saved and is now with Him for all eternity! 1 Corinthians 2:9
However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” the things God has prepared for those who love him—

I was saddened to learn from Mrs. Virginia Moore that Cathy had passed away this week. I knew her through the Moore Studio. She was always supportive of other students and offered kind words and encouragement to me, especially when I was nervous playing in front of the group. This picture was taken at one of Mrs, Moore's recitals in 2007. My deepest condolences to her family.

Cathy was a remarkable woman. In spite of all that had gone wrong with her body, she never complained and no one would know that she was suffering physically. She handled her condition with total class in spite of what had to be an enormous weight on her mind. Good for you, Cathy. Car, you should be very proud. We are sure that you are. Hopefully, the memory of your Mother's character will see you through these sad times.
With Much Love,
Debbie and Fred

My heart is deeply saddened with the loss of Cathy. She was a wonderful woman, mentor, and friend. Though we did not talk or see each other often, when we did it was as if no time had passed between our visits. I am grateful for the memories I have of you, especially my memory of your laugh.
