What a shame. We knew Debbie as a person of great tenderness, love and strength, going back to just after Katie was born in 1988. We last spoke to her when the end was near, she confided in us and encouraged us to keep smiling for her. Rest in peace Debbie.

I am a friend of Pete's and know of Debbie through him; I must say from the way Pete talked about Debbie - she was a one of a kind, special lady. He would glow whenever he spoke about her. Debbie and her family has been in prayers since September and I now pray that her family and loved ones will find strength during this time. I am so sorry for this devastating loss.

Our Star family has lost the most beautiful and most caring individual one could hope to meet. The sadness felt by our sisters and brothers on the death of our sister Debbie is tremendous. She will always have a place in the hearts of those of us who knew her. She is now in a better place and is with our Lord and Savior.

My deepest condolences to you and your family! Debbie was a sweet spirit around the office and will truly be missed. Yes, she made life seem as if it was a piece of cake! We got to taste a few of them and they were always delicious! Take care and make your mom proud she loved you all and very proud! She is at peace now and to be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord! I'm sure he is pleased with the life she lived and will say well done, my good and faithful servant and welcome home! I wish you all the very best!

Debbie was a co-worker and became a close friend over the years working together. A small group of us became very close friends. We would often get together monthly after work to celebrate each other's birthdays and to catch up with each other. Debbie was always smiling and had so much hope in everything she did. The group got together this year at Debbie's house for Christmas. She had the house so nicely decorated with so much love everywhere. She had a great support team behind her. My Deepest Condolences go out to the her family. Deb rest in peace.

I am truly very sorry for your loss. I work with Pete and have had Debbie, her kids and Pete in my prayers on almost a daily basis since Pete first told me about the diagnosis in the Fall. I lost my father to brain cancer when I was 37 so I know what it's like to lose a parent at a young age. Knowing her was a great blessing to Pete and all of us here who call Pete friend are with you in heart, spirit and strength. Grieve but be strong and carry on.

We were saddened to hear of Debbie's death. It is so hard to loss a dear loving person. The Bible calls death our enemy at 1Cor 15:26 "And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing". Jehovah God promises to bring our dear loved ones back to life here on a paradise earth with no more sickness or death. I'm sending you a link to a tract that explains God's purposes for us. https://www.jw.org/finder?pub=t-35&wtlocale=E&srcid=share You will be pleasantly surprised at what the Bible teachings on this subject. I've known Debbie since High School, I met her through my sister Peggy Callahan. I remember Drill Team, being in my sisters wedding together, having many of her delicious cakes, watching many Redskin games together and watching our families grow. Debbie truly had a kind heart and will be missed. I'm not sure if her kids remember me but I'm sending my thoughts and prayers to them and Debbie's entire family at this difficult time. May she Rest In Peace.

Hello
I am truly saddened to hear about Deborah! I am the woman who took the photo of Pete and Deborah holding hands at LakeSpring Park in Salem, VA. There are no words to express my sorrow at this time. Just knowing how many people prayed for her is comforting to my soul. The angels are singing because she is with Jesus now! May God give the family comfort and strength in the days ahead!

Debbie was one of the first people I met in Job's Daughters and is one of the reasons I chose to join Eastern Star. We worked together in both organizations and she was a shining example of what one can learn from both groups. She said at her last installation as Worthy Matron that we should let the principles of Eastern Star shine through our lives and reflect the way we should treat other individuals, which was exactly the way she lived her life. Her smile, warmth and friendship will be greatly missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with Debbie's family. She will be very missed. I first met Debbie when I was decided to join Job's Daughters. She was the Council member that brought girls to visit me. Later, when I was in line, she was our Bethel Guardian. Debbie's example of serving on Council as a young majority member of Job's Daughters is what led me and others from that time to stay involved. I also served in Eastern Star with her. Debbie was a wonderful and gentle lady.
