Obituary of Travis Barton Bridges

Travis Barton Bridges, 52, of Lovettsville, Va. passed suddenly on April 9, 2017 after a short illness. He was with his family. Travis and his twin brother David were born on April 15, 1964, to John W. Bridges and Sydney T. Bridges of Chantilly, VA. Travis worked for the National Association of Letter Carriers as a benefits consultant for many years. He loved his family, friends and his pets. He was a faithful fan of the Washington Redskins and never missed a game. He was generous with his time and his money to people less fortunate than he. He received recognition for his extensive fund raising efforts for many different charities. Travis had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. His laugh was contagious and he was always fun to be around. He cared deeply for his family and visited his Mother every weekend to take care of things around the house for her. Travis is survived by his mother, Sydney Barker, older brother John and his wife Frances, twin brother David and his wife Pam, their children Cameron and Courtney, step-mother Linda Bridges, half-sister Renee Maguire and her husband John and their children Cole and Shelby, half-brother Patrick and his wife Melissa, and their children Elaina and Lucas. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and numerous cousins who all loved him very much. He is predeceased by his father John W. (Jack) Bridges and his step-father, Denny Barker.
