Obituary of John DeWitt Goodrich

John was a loving husband, father, and brother. He died in his home on Saturday, April 15, 2017. He was married to his wife Rosann for nearly 44 years and they had three daughters – Arlene, Lisa, and Rene.  His three grandchildren, Michael, Lillian, and Lorelei, adored and looked up to him.

In his youth, John was an Eagle Scout.

He spent 3 years in the Army and excelled at his 43 year career afterwards.  His career took him around the globe and across the nation. He received many awards and recognitions for his accomplishments.  John had a love for nature and enjoyed traveling with his family, especially camping.  He had a quiet intelligence, and his subtle sense of humor was endearing.

He is greatly missed by many.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Broadlands Community Church in Ashburn, VA
