I just saw the notice in the Penn Stater magazine, so sorry to hear the sad news. Bill and I were fraternity brothers and roommates senior year. He was a pioneer in Computer Science, and the first person I knew with his own computer. Plus he was a lot of fun, and I have great memories of times together. My condolences to the family.

Dearest Bain family
You may not know me but I worked for Bill for several years at ICF and I am deeply saddened about what has happened.
What I am not sure you know is that Bill worked diligently to get us on several important projects that relate to PTSD trauma for the military. In fact the project is one of the cornerstones of how virtual reality is changing the face of PTSD therapy. I am deeply grateful in my life for working on these types of projects and I owe it to Bill.
Additionally without Bill people would not be getting the treatment they need. You should be very proud of his work.

Bain family,
Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. Bill hired me at ICF in 2009, and I had the great opportunity to work for him in multiple locations and projects. Bill was the type of manager who not only listened to his team members, but actively worked to grow them professionally, and empower them to succeed. Dear Dana, Garrett, and Elle,
We are so sorry for your loss with Bill's passing. Bill was a friend for over 20 years - initially through Gartner and continuing through poker and work.
