Deck was the same age as my brother Mike and they were first friends as our fathers we're shipmates and fast friends for life. Deck"s sister Eileen and I are the same age and I have fond recollections of visits at our house and dinners at 1313 Hillside Avenue. Loving memories of wonderful people. My sincere condolences to Alice, Mick and Eileen.

My deepest sympathy to Alice & Mick on Deck's passing. I've known Deck since graduate school at Georgetown, attended Deck & Alice's wedding in New York City and shared many happy times with them over the years. Deck was a thoughtful, considerate and generous friend whose company was always a pleasure. His passing leaves an empty place in the lives of those of us who had the privilege of knowing him.
