Dear Young Family and especially my dearest Cody, I am saddened that while I am away on family leave the passing of your dearest wife and mother occurred. It is very difficult for me to not be able to attend the memorial and miss telling you in person my deepest sympathy on your loss. I was very blessed to know your mom when Cody became my student in 4th grade and grew to admire her grit and tenacity along with positive outlook. She carved a special place in my heart by demonstrating how important her family and volunteering were in her life. She will truly be missed and my prayers of comfort and healing to each of you. The loss of a cherished loved one is the most devastating experiences a family can face. At times, the loss may seem unbearable. Please know that there are family and friends who care and more importantly Psalm 34:18 tells us that "God is near to those that are broken at heart. He is the God of all comfort.
