We met Tim and Sally through their service to the Emmaus community in Northern Virginia. Tim always had a smile on his face -- and a do-rag on his head! He gave great hugs!! His love for the Lord was evident! A true servant of Christ, he will be missed here, but we are sure he has been welcomed into eternal life by the Lord and all the saints who have gone before him!

Sally,
We are so sorry for the loss of Tim here on earth. We are lifting you and your family in prayer for comfort, peace, and strength during these days of grieving and of adjusting to life here without him. He was a very special child of God whose love for the Lord and whose dedication to reaching out to whatever lives he possibly could were awe-inspiring. You and he both made Chrysalis a special experience for Kelly (Hendershot), and we will always be grateful for that. We rejoice to know that he is now healed and strong in the presence of the Lord, and we look forward to the chance of seeing him again. Know that you remain in our thoughts and prayers.
Love from Pappy & Sandy Pless, & Kelly Hendershot

Worship was a feature of the Lybarger Memorial Association reunion when we met at the church on Sunday mornings followed by a luncheon in the picnic grove below the church. The photo below is of a service led by Tim and Sally Lyberger, of Sterling, Virginia. At the annual meeting in July, 2007 at Madley, Pennsylvania.

Tim was a special person. The hymn, "They will know we are Christian by our love" comes to mind when I think of Tim. Heaven's gain is the world's loss. Well done good and faithful servant! Condolences to Sally and family.

I can think of no other person in my lifetime who has had such an incredible and positive impact on the people around him. He was a fierce warrior for God, and he fought the good fight right up to the very end. His fortitude and courage was truly amazing.
So we say, not Fly with Christ, but Tim, you are flying with Christ! We will all miss you so very much, but rejoice knowing that you are whole and pain free, playing your guitar and singing with the angels.

We were sad to hear that Tim had passed and wanted to convey our condolences to his family. Maureen and I attended George Mason with Tim and found him to be a kind and caring person. As a member of the football team he was always concerned about the well being of his teammates and a great leader. In school, Tim was great to be around and a good friend to all. He will be greatly missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Tim's family during this difficult time.

My deepest sympathy to Tim's wife Sally and his family. I was so shocked and saddened by his passing. I didn't know that he had been battling cancer.
Red and I liked him so much. I will always remember seeing Tim knell each time he was given the bread at communion. I was always moved by that. He was truly a faithful and gentle man.
