I loved my Aunt Jean. I admired her. She was full of love and she made everyone happy. When I was a little girl, my Aunt Jean would let me sleep over at her house. When I would wake up, she would make us animal shaped pancakes. My Uncle Don would be working a crossword puzzle at the table near her. Her house was filled with love. She had many beautiful pictures of my cousins. She grew beautiful plants. She loved the Family Circus comic. I thought she was magical. I had so much fun with her. She spoke sweetly always. She was so pretty and had the softest skin. I remember watching her hold my Uncle Don”s hand walking down the boardwalk at the beach. She was happily married. She loved my favorite uncle. Uncle Don, I love you. May God comfort you. I know you miss her so much and your heart is hurting. You are in my prayers. My Aunt Jean was a good mother. She raised amazing children. I love my cousins Ronnie, Sheri, Ricky, and Sandy so much. Aunt Jean was a loving sister to my mother. This was such a blessing to me because I got to grow up playing with my cousins, going to the roller rink and kings dominion. Family was important to her. Right now I’d like to wrap my arms around my cousins and hug them all. Their mother is smiling down on them free from altzheimers. My dear cousins, you’ve cared for your mother with such godly grace and love. I am so sorry for your tremendous loss. Take comfort in knowing that you will be together again someday in heaven. Hold onto each other tight as sister and brother in your grief and love your Dad. I love you. I wish I could be with you tomorrow.

I am one of 12 children raises in a very poor but loving family. We lived in the country and made Apple Butter and also slaughtered our own meat. Jean my sister was number 3 and I was number 4. She was always the kindest and most loving person trying to make life easier for my Mom and Dad. She was truly a Mom and Dad child. She and my close in age sisters and I were best friends. When she got to sick to call I missed her daily phone calls. It has been hard to go it alone when one by one my family passed away. With Jeans passing it is only Jane and I and sometimes she does not remember who I am. I know God made me strong so I could help them in their final days and I will go see that smile on Janes face until one of us goes to the other side and joins the family of angels. You have to be strong to fight the pain and suffering many have endured. God Bless everyone. Elizabeth Burkhardt

It was an absolute pleasure to get to know your whole family. Your mom loved her family. It was an honor to take care of her. Even if it was a short while. Big big hug to everyone. ❤️
