For the past 25 years, Gordon served on the Board of Directors for the Bank of Southside Virginia in Carson, VA, and chaired its Audit Committee.  He was president and a board member of his local homeowner’s association for nearly 20 years.  Gordon was a member of Floris United Methodist Church, was a devoted father and husband, and loved spending time with his family, traveling, boating on Lake Anna, and especially riding his Harley Davidson.

Gordon was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Page Scarborough Jarratt.  He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Jarratt; his daughter, Jessica Jarratt; his father, Frederick Jarratt; his brother, Benjamin Jarratt II and his wife, Mary; his sister, Helen Sue Agee and her husband, Charlie; nephews, Marshall Agee and his wife, Caroline; Tyler Agee and his wife, Lauren; Colin Jarratt and Patrick Quinn; nieces, Brigid Quinn and Caitlin Quinn; and his great-nephew, Beckett Agee.
