Obituary of Beatriz Cecilia Boyce

Beatriz “Cecilia” Boyce of Reston, Virginia, passed away Thursday, 3/15/2018 at age 87. She conceded to a long, hard-fought battle with Alzheimer’s retaining her spunk and sense of humor until the end.

Born November 22, 1930 in the Republic of Panama, daughter of the late Sergio Perez and Maria Villa, she is survived by her three sons Guy “Pancho”, Edward “E.G.” (his wife Barbara), and Gregory; grand-daughter Jana; brothers Sergio “Junny”, Roberto “Roby”, sisters Lupita, Maricely, Lourdes, and Catherine. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Adolfo "Fito" and Sergio "Papi".

Cecilia was a devoted mother who loved her sons dearly. She was a real servant, instantly liked by all who met her and always provoked laughter. She had an endearing smile thinking the best of others and would express genuine interest and offer encouragement.  She was a great cook, and loved nature, animals, tending plants, and could truly appreciate and derive pleasure from a simple cloud formation plants. Not only was she beautiful on the inside but sustained her natural beauty surprising many of her age.  She was the queen of cleaning and always busy organizing something. She was a faithful friend maintaining lifelong relationships  with many such as Griselda Brown, Estela Fitzgerald, Vilma Dunlap, Virginia Fournier, Elizabeth Castro, Helen Solano, and the late Gloria Conley, along with each of their children.

She touched many lives; memories of her will always be cherished, and her sweet presence here greatly missed!
