Obituary of Barbara Jean Foltz

On March 30, 2018 at Inova Loudoun Hospital, Leesburg, VA. Barbara J. Foltz succumbed to a heart and lung condition. She was the beloved wife of Earl Lee Foltz of Sterling and loving mother of Beverly Foltz Boyd of Ashburn (husband Steve).  Pre-deceased were her sons Steven and David Foltz, her parents Frances and Joseph Murray and brother Michael Murray. She was grandmother to Jennifer Miller (husband Scott) and great-grandmother to Brayden and Adam (AJ) Miller of Ashburn. She was born on September 25, 1935 in Washington, DC. Barbara was a charter member of Galilee United Methodist Church. She served as nurse at Broad Run High School and a nurse at Loudoun Hospital for 40 years. Until her death she served as a chaplain at the hospital. She passionately loved her God, her church, her family and friends and will be sorely missed by her many friends and relatives. Her hobbies included quilting, doll collecting and cooking.

Family will receive guests at Galilee United Methodist Church, 45425 Winding Road, Sterling, VA, 20165 on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until funeral service at 11:30 a.m..  Interment will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Herndon.
