A mother’s love, Oh how sweet. The talks, the hugs, and yes even the scolding reminds us of our mother’s love. What a painful loss when mom is gone. Yet the memories cannot erase the love you felt for one another. Hold on to those memories. But it is not God’s purpose that humans die; thus Jehovah gives us hope for the future. “There shall be a resurrection of the dead.” (Acts 24:15) Jesus showed that this is a reality when he raised Lazarus back to life. (John 11:39-44) Like Lazarus your mother is sleeping in death, waiting to be awakened back to a cleansed, perfect earth. (Isaiah 65:20-25). See jw.org. Try to imagine the happy reunion when she is welcomed back into your loving arms! Let the thought of being able to embrace her again make your pain easier to bear. My heartfelt condolences to you.
