Daniel Bryan Doty, age 50 (The "Dote") Of Vienna, VA, died Thursday, October 14, 2010. He was Chief Border Patrol Agent of Swanton Sector, in Swanton, Vermont. He is survived by his two children, Kyley Doty and Dylan Doty of Herndon, Virginia and their mother, Patricia Doty. Also surviving are his significant other, Paula Bennett of Vienna, Virginia; and his sister, Pamela (Matt) Piester of Herndon, Virginia. Dan will be greatly missed by the many friends he has made over the years; as well as all of his friends and colleagues with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Family will receive friends Thursday, October 21, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Adams Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, Virginia 20170. Funeral services will be held at Floris United Methodist Church, 13600 Frying Pan Road, Herndon, Virginia on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Burial, with Honor Guard Ceremonial Services, will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Dranesville Road, Herndon, Virginia. All are welcome to join the family for a reception back at the church immediately following the burial. At the family's request, those who wish may make memorial contributions in Dan's name to the Border Patrol Foundation online at www.borderpatrolfoundation.org .
