My Aunt Em was the most kind and gentle soul I've ever known. She epitomized the philosophy of making "lemonade out of lemons." She worked so hard to provide for her family, taking care of my grandmother and providing inspiration for all of her family and everyone who knew her. As I said at her memorial service, "if Jesus had a sister, she would be Marion." While my family mourns her passing, we celebrate the joy she brought to our lives and take comfort that she is in her rightful place beside the God she loved.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. I have very fond memories of your mother. She made me laugh a lot during her home sale process and that time we spent together at the beach. I will always have very fond memories of her. And the hair do! She's a sweetheart and will be missed.

One of my fondest memories of my aunt Marion is when she moved into the Tobin home while hers, next door, was being renovated. I’m sure this was a hard part of her life but for me, a 10 year old, I got a bigger family an older sister and brother that I always wanted.
I grew up watching Marion style and perm Ruby’s hair every week, old school style with fat rollers. They were best friends, even though Ruby wasn’t the best customer. Marion was awesome at styling hair & taught me how to apply color, how to make blonde streaks, how to create highlights and the best were the home perms. She had all sizes of perm rods and it was just fun trying to look like ONJ from Grease.
My sister & I would spend summer breaks looking through Marion’s Avon catalogues, in a tall chair in the red kitchen using the oven for a mirror, coloring our hair, along with my cousins, Rob making steam-ums and teaching me what hotdogs are made from, and Joann giving her then boyfriend a home permanent (whose name shall remain nameless, but we all remember who I’m talking about.)
Marion was a patient and beautiful lady with a very sweet disposition, always caring for another and great for a hug. The void is real. All my love...
