Kevin and I were fellow Villanovans, fraternity brothers, and members of the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 71 wardroom. We also played a lot of basketball together at Villanova and in the Navy. I just heard of his passing and wanted to pass on my condolences to his family. Kevin was an amazing person. He was smart, well spoken, had a great sense of humor (which sometimes got him in trouble when he was pledging for the fraternity), and a great athlete. I know he loved his family very much. He will be missed.

I am an old fraternity brother to Kevin. We spent many fine hours together. He was one of a kind. Fran and I are so sorry to hear of his passing. While we do not know the family, we send our heartfelt condolences. Our memories of him will not die.

I’m so sorry for your recent loss. My deepest condolences to your family. Death of a loved one is never easy to endure, but you don’t have to go through it alone. You can always find comfort in our God of tender mercy Jehovah, as found at 2 Corinthians 1:3,4.

Dear Gallen Family,
Our hearts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. We have so cherished knowing Kevin and your whole family, especially Kevin's son Nate over the years, and feel that he is also a son to us and brother to our son John. This coming weekend--June 2-3-- at St. Ann's parish in Arlington, Kevin's name will be included during the prayers of the faithful, when the congregation prays for the repose of the souls who have recently passed. On Saturday, June 23, 2018, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the response of the soul of Kevin Paul Gallen, by pastor Father Mel Portula.
God bless you, and God bless Kevin,
The Burke Family

The world is a bit less bright with Kevin's passing. I've admired him for years, having volunteered with him at the Share food pantry. In his quiet way, he taught me how to best serve the poor. I remember one day, having worked with difficult clients, I muttered "Lord, give me patience," Kevin quietly whispered to me, "The Lord gives you opportunities to practice patience," I got it. I reflect on that concept often. I will miss Kevin's optimism, sharp wit, and willingness to help in any way possible. If we could all try and be a bit more like Kevin!
My sincere condolences to his family. While you've lost a super star, you've gained one in heaven. Peace.
