Obituary of Kevin Paul Gallen

Kevin Paul Gallen
On May 27, 2018 Kevin Gallen passed to eternal life surrounded by the love and prayers of his
family. His memory will be cherished by his devoted wife of 43 years, Barbara; his son Adam
and wife Elena, his daughter Amanda Eager and husband Michael, and his son Nate and wife
Amanda. Loving grandfather of Luke, Caitlin, Dean and Caleb Eager, and Tristan Gallen.
Also survived by brothers John and Bob, sisters Frances Mann, Kathy Reisch, and Niki
Donovan and their spouses. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Frances Gallen
and brother Ray.
Kevin was born and raised in Philadelphia and a graduate of Villanova University and Harvard
Law School. He was a retired Seabee Naval officer who served two tours in Vietnam and was
the Officer in Charge of the South Pole Station, Antarctica in 1970.
First and foremost he was a man of unshakeable Catholic faith and devoted to his wife and
family. He had a successful 30 year career as an attorney with two Washington, D.C. law firms Morgan,
Lewis & Bockius and Newman & Holtzinger. He specialized in government contracts
and energy regulatory affairs.
He was respected and admired as an accomplished, humble, and witty friend and colleague. In
addition to spending time with his family, you could often find him playing golf with his signature
KPG swing, cooking, traveling, and organizing and delivering food & furniture to those less
fortunate. The 2018 Championship wins by the Philadelphia Eagles and Villanova Wildcats
were an especial source of pride and joy for this Philly fan.
Mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday, June 1 at 11:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena
Catholic Church in Great Falls, VA.
