Tim was a cheerful, generous soul. Heartbroken to hear of his passing, and praying for peace in your hearts and in your home as you navigate the days, weeks and months ahead. May God wrap you in His tender embrace.

I grew up with Tim and he was a great friend. He always had a great spirit and even though we lost touch as adults I am confident he remained a loyal and caring man. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. While I am not able to attend the tribute to his life I am glad I was a part of it and he and his family are in my thoughts.

So sorry to hear about Tim. He seemed like a really nice, family man who had a servant’s heart. He helped my son fix his bike when his chain fell off, and he tried to help my husband find a job even though he didn’t know him. He was a great role model for his kids. We will be praying for your family to find comfort in your memories and in God’s loving arms. Please let us know if you need anything. Melinda Gonzalez (Mateo’s mom)

Andrea and family - I was so saddened and shocked when I heard the news. It’s been many years since I’ve seen you or Tim, but i and so many others have such fond memories of those times and you and Tim were definitely a huge part of that.
I am so sorry for your loss. Gone but never forgotten. RIP fellow tromboner!

Tim you putz! Who is going to create my website? Haha, I know you are laughing at me now and I'm sure you'll play a trick on me if saints are allowed to do that from heaven. Actually I am sure you are in purgatory but I am also confident that you will be gone before I get there.
I am glad we got to talk before you had to leave. I look forward to seeing you again brother.

Tim Shermer was a tremendous influence on me and many others for his caring and genuine passion for the greater good. He was selfless and devoted to his family and provided everyone he met with a shining light into the confusion and darkness. His smile was like a beacon of hope to all he came into contact with. He was always positive and inspiring in every manner. Although he was handicapped, I am not alone and there are many who was physically and spiritually uplifted by just knowing Tim Shermer. Today and forever his contributions are timeless. His patriotism and community spirit was like that of a thousand volunteers in one. My condolences to the family.

I am so sorry for your loss. Tim lived his life in the service of his fellow men which is really serving God. I know he will be missed by many, but the pain you must be feeling can't be imagined by anyone else. I pray you and your family will feel comforted.
