Obituary of Sharon Lillian Hamann

Sharon L. Hamann of Herndon, VA passed away peacefully at Fair Oaks Hospital, Saturday, July 28th, 2018, at the age of 67 after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was the daughter of the late Edward Hamann.

She is survived by her mother, Lillian Hamann, her loving siblings; Brothers -  Edward (children Kimberly and Nickie) and Donnie Hamann, Sisters - Eileen Hamann (children Chad and Tiffany) and Bonnie Tysver (children Karen and Scott).  Sharon also left behind two devoted children, Jeremy and Jason Randall as well as Jason’s wife, Shannon Randall and her two adoring grandchildren - Gavin and Aiden Randall (Jason)

Raised in Dickinson, ND, Sharon graduated from Dickinson High School in 1970. Following graduation Sharon moved east, later settling in Herndon, Virginia. Sharon worked for 26 years at the United States Geological Survey as a GIS Specialist having  an unmatched work ethic and true passion for her job.

Sharon also had a love for dogs and rescued them whenever possible.  Most of them were mutts who needed love and a warm home that Sharon was happy to provide.  Sharon enjoyed above all else playing and spoiling her two grandchildren, always surprising them with trains, transformers, and all sorts of toys.

Always a giver, Sharon would always put others before herself.  To the very end her priorities were to ensure that her kids and grandchildren were taken care of to enjoy all that she had worked for.
