Obituary of Heather Lynn Millage

Heather Lynn Millage, 53, passed away on August 3, 2018 at her home in Great Falls, VA.

Heather was born in San Antonio, TX to Jim and Karen McFadden on October 16, 1964.  She grew up primarily in Northern Virginia before moving to Northern California where she graduated from Fremont High School in Sunnyvale, CA in 1983.  She went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in communications from San Jose State University.  Heather spent most of her career in pharmaceutical marketing and for the final 12 years of her career, she worked as a Vice President of Marketing for Novo Nordisk.  For 6 of those years she lived and worked in Europe, initially in Zurich, Switzerland and then in Copenhagen, Denmark.  Heather was known for her passion, masterful communication skills, kindness, honesty, sense of fun and her very infectious laugh.  She enjoyed golfing, running, sailing, traveling, good wine and food, and being with her family.

Heather is survived by her husband, Kyle Millage, sister, Lezlee McFadden-Weaver, mother, Karen McFadden, father, Jim McFadden, nieces Riley and Addison Weaver and nephew Nolan Weaver.  She will be deeply missed.

A visitation service will be held at the Adams-Green Funeral Home in Herndon, VA on Saturday, August 11^th from 12 – 3 PM.  The family is planning a celebration of Heather’s life that will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Heather’s name to the National Brain Tumor Society, www.braintumor.org.  The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Johns Hopkins and Sibley Memorial Hospitals, the Kind and Caring Home Health Agency and Capital Caring Hospice.
