I worked with Tom at the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission many years ago. I was a young first time/first level supervisor. Tom was a veteran supervisory investigator. He taught me, guided me and coached me. He was a kind, generous, no nonsense man. I owe much to Tom. I think of him often.
I knew Tom through the monthly Reston CAC meetings. It was always a joy to see him and get a chance to chat with him! My heart was saddened to hear of his passing. May his family and friends find solace in knowing that his star has not gone out but has become even brighter!
