Sincere condolences to Robin's family. We went to Falls Church High School, and were in several classes together. Always enjoyed his zest for life, high standards and unique sense of humor. Rest in peace, Robin.

I offer my heartfelt sympathies to Bob’s family. I also was saddened by his sudden and unexpected passing. I will miss Bob’s friendship and dry wit. Over the years we discussed many topics ranging from family and social justice to our fondness for Tony Hillerman novels, the exploits of Sheriff Walt Longmire, and—of course—golf. The editorial cartoons that he emailed weekly were a bright spot in these somber times.

My deepest most profound sympathies to the Bidwell family. I knew Robert through his best work; son John. John spoke lovingly of his father and exemplifies the traits and characteristics that I’m sure Robert would acknowledge as essential in a man.
Courage, integrity, honesty, and empathy for others less fortunate. I wish all of you the comfort that only time can bring at his passing. Keep your memories fresh and let his spirit always live in each of you

To Sue and family. I am sorry for your loss. I was blessed to have Bob as a soccer coach growing up. He pushed us hard and in doing this we always knew that he cared. Bob took coaching seriously, not only inviting us to be our best but seeing it as a way to form us for later life. I am remembering him in my prayers and offering a Mass for him here in Pennsylvania. May the Lord give you all his peace.

My deepest condolences to the family of Bob Bidwell. He wasa fine gentleman who always was available to encourage and stimulate those interested in our envitonment. We spent several days on the water engaged in stream surveys for the purpose of documenting stream health. Bob was always committed to promoting our environmental future. May the family take comfort in what he has achieved and what he left behind. Rest In Peace.

Our deepest sympathies go out to Sue and her sons, Matthew, Steven and John and their families as well as the rest of the Bidwell family.on the loss of Bob this weekend.
It is hard to imagine Bob as being still, as he always showed such magnetic energy. Whether it was describing his latest travels, fishing trips, or future plans he was so enthusiastic and loved life to the fullest. He and Sue had a wonderful life together and loved their sons and grandchildren deeply and his loss will be deeply felt. We will miss our wonderful dinners in PA, and the news from D.C. as well as the weekly cartoons that he loved to send and we enjoyed received each week. Fly high, Bob! May the angels surround you and take you to that perpetual fishing ground where you can enjoy your eternal reward. Hold on to all of those stories until we meet again.
