Obituary of Jacqueline Ann Danielson

Jacqueline Ann (Lovas) Danielson, a native of Fairview Park, Ohio, and long-time resident of Clifton, Virginia, passed away October 23rd, 2018 at the age of 75.

After graduating from the prestigious all-girls Magnificat High School in Rocky River, Ohio, she attained undergraduate and graduate degrees in education from nearby St. John College and Case Western Reserve University.

Her passion for teaching carried her all over the world including assignments in Cleveland, Ohio, Washington, D.C., Sembach and Stuttgart, Germany, Ann Arbor, Michigan, Nashville, Tennessee, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Ft. Drum, New York, Governors Island (New York City), New York, Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, and finally Centre Ridge Elementary School in Centreville, Virginia.

It was in Stuttgart, Germany in 1972 that she met the love of her life, Ralph (Dan) Danielson, who convinced her to become an Army wife.  She managed to raise a wonderfully stable family despite the challenges of military life and frequent relocations.

A devout Catholic, her grace overflowed into all that knew her.  She was kind and caring and always there for her family and friends.

In retirement, she spent most evenings entertaining herself with the latest library fiction, a cat warming her lap, and a baseball game playing in the background.

Eventually she was blessed with four grandchildren who brought her unbridled joy.

She is survived by her loving husband Dan of 45 years; her son Jon (Lindsey) Danielson; her daughter Erin (Tom) McQueen; her cherished grandchildren Eric, TJ, Kevin, and Ryleigh; and her siblings Frank, Mary (Lovas) Bird, Mike, Elizabeth (Lovas) Krumhansl, and Kevin.

She is welcomed into heaven by her parents, Ann and Frank Lovas, and her older brother John.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden St, Herndon, VA 20170, on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 5:00PM - 8:00PM.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church at 6720 Union Mill Rd., Clifton, VA 20124 on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11:00AM.
