I enjoyed Cindy’s company first while working at the Red Cross. We shared many dinners and long work days at that position. Cindy was also instrumental at helping me in the first year of cottage ownership as part of the southern woman working weekend. Cindy got her first and maybe last lessons in painting and building a beer garden. You are missed Cindy.

It was a joy knowing Cindy and working with her at EDS. I loved seeing all her Facebook posts of her travels, food, friends, and inspirational quotes. I am so sorry she had to endure so much with her cancer diagnosis. She remained brave. My condolences to her family.

Cindy was a brave and courageous Woman, I met her through a self support group and I watched her complete that 14 month program to the end, joining in on all the group activities in spite of battling with cancer. Cindy I send love from our group and to your family you truly were a strong Woman.
Sincerely,
Susan Hall

I met Cindy while.she was battling this horrible disease (Cancer). I really admired her courage and optimism, in spite of how she felt and the terrible side effects of the disease and her treatments. I'm so sorry that she had to leave us so soon.
My sympathy and condolences to the family and her close friends.

Cindy, you will always be in my heart as such a dear soul who loved animals and made an effort to see good in all.... Petmac in Arlington was an institution and was a neighborhood fixture for years...... I will miss you so much even though we did not see much of each other once you moved to Reston...... RIP You made a difference to so many...... Val Garcia

Cindy, you fought the battle until the end. I can just see Sissy, Jean & Willie were waiting for you to welcome you home.
My first memory of you was at Angie’s wedding. You were about 6 or 7 and you were on your belly in the middle of the dance floor and would not get up. Jean asked me to stop you bc you were getting your pretty dress all dirty and you weren’t listening to her. So trying to impress my boyfriends (Joey) Morher, I complied. However you wouldn’t get up. Instead you talked me into getting down on my knees with you. I spun you all over the dance floor. We laughed so hard and so did Jean!
Jean always wanted you to learn to cook and you sure did live out that dream! I’m so glad you went to the cooking school and made life long friends there. You once told me you wished you could have a life like mine, loved by my family. Well my dear, one just has to look at your fb pics to see that you lived a huge life. You traveled from one end of the earth to the other with great friends who loved and respected you. All your wonderful friends Are your family Cindy!
Rest In Peace my sister in law - I’m sorry I couldn’t bring your brothers into the fold but you always had me!
