Pat & I are saddened to hear of Joe’s passing. He has been a friend since 1963 when we became neighbors in Herndon. Joe was a devoted husband, father and friend, who always made us laugh. RIP dear friend. Sincere condolences to the family.

Joe was my first supervisor when I went to work for the government at the Army Map Service. Finding out that I went to George Mason High, we had lots of laughs and stories about the Herdon and George Mason football games! He was a good supervisor and fun to have as a co-worker. Joe and his wife Juanita have been strong supporters of live music in our area and for my band Deja Blue. They were always ready to enjoy and dance the night away! RIP my friend & I know you will be showin the Angels how to "swing" dance!

Joe was my best friend thru my whole life. We grew up together in Great Falls, going to the river, dancing at the Grange Hall, and just being together everyday at school. He was a great friend and one of the nicest people I ever knew. We worked together for the Government for over 10 years and continued our friendship and dancing at the Peppermint Lounge in Fairfax. He always took such pride in his vehicles and his yard and they were the best looking in the neighborhood. Joes family used to take me with them to Arlington Hall every year to a picnic and it was the highlight of my summer. I will miss my dear friend Joe, May he Rest In Peace.

Dear Juanita and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Joe was such a wonderful man and neighbor. I'll never forget passing him on the street walking the dogs or letting our pups run and play on the back forty, which Joe diligently and graciously mowed when my dad no longer could. Mostly, I'll never forget how wonderful you both were to my family when my dad passed. Knowing that you guys were just a couple of houses away from my mom gave us all so much comfort. I'm so sorry that you're now having to experience that same pain. Sending you much love and prayers in such a difficult time.
Sincerely,
Tiffany Estrella (Parsons)

I met Joe and Juanita at the Serbian Crown. They had come in to dance and listen to the band my husband was playing in. Just loved to see them on the dance floor. Joe had the neatest move where he kicked his boot toe out on different moves. Such a great guy to know. He will be missed. Thoughts and prayers go out to Juanita and family.
