Obituary of Joseph A. Pierson

Joseph A. Pierson, born May 31, 1941. Quietly passed with his wife Juanita by his side. He is survived by his wife, his children Robert, Becky and Lori, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A son, Kevin, preceded his death. Joe retired from the Defense Mapping Agency with 38 years service. He was a proud member of  the Herndon Jaycees, Jaycee past President from 1970-71. Joe enjoyed planting his special tomatoes every year that he shared with many. Also loved things connected to nature, he loved the beach, golf, street rods or just walking the dogs.

When it came to sports, always a die hard Redskin and Nationals fan.

A few years back, he researched and started riding a trike for a new adventure. You couldn't miss him on a trail with his orange outfit and bike flags including a frosty beer mug flag. Joe read about a trail in Cades Cove, Tennessee, so he loaded up his trike and road that trail. Joe and Juanita loved live music and dancing. They both shared this passion and met wonderful people through music.  Everybody that knew Joe, probably has a story and knows he will be greatly missed.

The family will recieve friends on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 10 AM until a service to begin at 11 AM at ADAMS-GREEN Funeral Home 721 Elden St. Herndon, VA.  Interment to follow at Arnon Cemetery in Great Falls, VA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.  www.cancer.org
