I’m so sorry for your recent loss. My deepest condolences to your family. Death of a loved one is never easy to endure, but you don’t have to go through it alone. Continue looking to God and you will always find comfort in him (2 Cor 1:3,4). He will soon destroy the enemy of death (1 Cor 15:26), and He will soon return our loved ones to us through the resurrection (John 5:28,29). It was so hard to close out 2018 saying good-bye to David. We will forever hold him in our hearts and will always remember the good times we had and his infectious smile. It gives us comfort to know he is finally at peace in heaven, but it is still hard to know we won’t see him again on this earth. We send much love and prayers to everyone in the Schmid family.

It is hard to come to terms with this heartbreaking news, and my thoughts are with each of you. I consider myself incredibly lucky to have so many happy memories with David to hold onto and cherish—he was one of a kind in the best of ways. David was a well-rounded, great person that touched my life and heart. I will miss him deeply. I am so sorry for your immeasurable loss. Schmid Family Im so sorry for the loss of David. He was a good guy who didn’t deserve this awful disease. You guys have been in my thoughts constantly since I heard. I will always think of him as tan , and at a pool. He was one of my favorite people to work with at pinecrest, because he was happy to take the hard jobs, and I was sure he paid attention during the pool ops chemical class if something went wrong. He was the type of guy, who well into Highschool still showed up at 7am for foxmill swim meets, not because he wanted to , but because it meant something to his family, team and community. Not to mention he still crushed it each Saturday, even with no practice. He had a wonderful heart and everyone will remember him. You guys will remain in my heart and prayers. Megan

From the first few times I met David we instantly became best friends. He always had the amazing ability to make friends wherever he went and to me, he was one of the most loyal people I ever knew. David is one of the best friends and people I've had the pleasure to know in my lifetime and regardless of what he might have been going through, he never broke the loyalty of our friendship. David touched my husband Greg Turner's life so deeply as a wonderful friend and brother.
